Ladybugs Take a closer look!

Ladybugs Take a closer look!

On several occasions we have spoken in La Huertina de Toni about the predators that we naturally find in the garden, but we have never been able to see them so closely until now and in motion! In the video we can see some aphids.

In the video we can see some aphids parasitized by wasps as they have a golden-brown color and inside which the larva of a tiny wasp is developing, ladybug larvae feeding on aphids that had the misfortune to pass by at the wrong time and the dreaded Syrphid larvae, which even if we don't see them with the naked eye are there to help us reduce the plague of aphids that attack our garden. These larvae can have a hideous appearance but when they are adults they turn into brightly colored flies that pollinate the flowers of the garden. That is why it is important that they are in the garden from the beginning to the end of their life.

The method used to record is a bit curious because an old reflex camera connected to the computer is used as if it were a webcam, that is why anyone can record with this simple trick and a program called Eos Camera Movie Record, I encourage you to do it. try if you are not allowed to buy a latest generation camera.

Do not miss this great video in which you will get closer to a miniature world that we all have in the garden but that are so small that we cannot see them easily.
