Towards a New Future

Humanity has always felt driven by yearnings for progress, improvement and perfection, reaching such an unlimited point its aspirations that they have been confused with the impossible, unknown and unsuspected.

Towards a concrete utopia

Product of times in social crisis, expression of desperate social layers, already located in space, already in the time of desires, as anticipating awareness of reality; today excluded from science and letters; of the economy and politics; of philosophy and theology; debating between the old struggle of utopian reason versus instrumental reason; Utopia, the force of the transformation of reality, appears as an authentic innovative will that, being at the base of all social renewal, represents an ideal correction or integration of an existing political-social situation with a view to a change in positive prospects. Project or ideal of a just world based on the critique of the present order, utopia represents a specific way of knowing reality through its ideal projection, transcending the present through an ideal model of the future, becoming the dream of the true and just order of life.

Utopia: what is nowhere, a place that does not exist, that there is not, could, with the help of Tomás Moro or Ernst Bloch, remind Venezuelans of today of the dream of a country set and carved within the better prospective of our renovating historical process, within a humanization capable of giving way to a sustained development as man as a feasible project of concrete utopia, where theory and praxis are propped up, unified or confused from the principle of hope (Ernst Bloch) since we live surrounded by possibility, we are beings-in-hope (JJ Tamayo) with the luck not yet cast, in front of the infinite frontiers of the possible, hearing, hopefully, the melody of the future.

As on the unknown island of Moro, dreaming that everything can be common within us. What we should all work on. In which leisure activities are enemies of the social order, as are thieves and criminals. In that what is mine and yours are the cause of the crimes, injustices, inequalities and evils that reign among men. To dream specifically that one of the main causes of public misery is configured by "the excessive number of nobles, drones, idlers, who live off the work and sweat of others." Dreaming in a Future State, in a Possible Venezuela through a Precise Project, waiting to see it done one day. In the midst of misery and crime, deception, struggle and daily suffering, dreaming and truly proposing, with our creative imagination, a new world, a new country, a new man.

Convince ourselves that our greatest mistake was to endeavor to hand over to the State our most expensive gift: freedom; that although Freedom seems utopian illusion, utopia is the reality, from which it is born; that the roots of utopia are in men themselves, they come from the depths of their being-in-hope; they originate in the human soul, in the fundamental structure of man, his peoples and ideals.

With death or without death of utopias, utopia & shy; –mobilizing image, guiding horizon of praxis, critical instance of reality, open dialectical vision– will eternally rule human destiny and, thus, the destiny of peoples, since without utopia the present has no future or meaning. With imagination, "how easily we would take a world out of nothing." A world, a country, a man, of truth, of justice, of love and of peace. There will always be time for a new order. Not in vain Giulio Girardi emphasizes that "peace does not consist in the tranquility of the existing order, but of a new order through the solidarity action of men ... In this sense, peace passes through revolution. The integral revolution tends to to realize a new humanity… a new future… It is not a question of exploring the new earth, but of creating it… It is time for creation, hope and risk… The time to personally and communally assume the risk of human adventure and face with strength the eventuality of failure ... Only a different land will make heaven less incredible. "

Only a different country will make any democracy or utopia less incredible. Only then will hope, raised from the bottom of Pandora's box, can rise and spread throughout the heavens in the only peace that the profound transformations and conquests that we lack guarantee.

After a new homeland

For Giambatista Vico, within a cyclical system through which nations pass, each people goes through different stages (corsi) that shape all its activity until it reaches decadence, which in turn leads to restart the process (ricorsi) in a different and higher plane. Antonio Gramsci, for his part, coined the concept of "organic crisis" to refer to those historical moments in which the dominant forces are fractured in relations between society and the State, between economics and politics, and cannot to exercise its direction in the usual way: "The crisis consists precisely in that the old dies without the new being born." Circumstances in which the dominant ideological bloc tends to disintegrate and lose its ability to push capitalism forward, still counting on forces that can moderate the situation and prevent a revolutionary outcome.

In this regard, Jorge Alberto Kreyness, referring to the organic crisis of capitalism, based on Gramsci, maintains that "the decisive element in any situation is force, permanently organized and predisposed for a long time, which can be advanced when judging that a situation is favorable (and it is favorable only to the extent that such a force exists and is imbued with combative ardor). " In such circumstances, it is necessary to build a counter-hegemony, a counter-power, a new system of institutions that consolidate the directionality of forces antagonistic to those of domination, until giving a positive channel to spontaneity and accumulating and resizing forces definitely revolutionary.

Faced with a capitalism with a patent of justice and eternity, there is nothing left but to build new forms to attack injustice, inequality, hunger, oppression and all the horrors that plague three-quarters of humanity. Faced with the impudence of the central hegemonic superpower, facing the great periphery deployed south of the Rio Grande through both geopolitical interventionism, never like today is a counter-hegemonic project justified that helps us firmly to put an end to so much "savage capitalism" , unbridled, hegemonic, invasive.

The new homeland will come from a long pain and a long work. Pavese reminded us: "The secret of life is to act as if we have what we most painfully lack." The future of the country can only be its construction. There can be no return but measure and invention, constancy and creation, construction of the future. Our greatest weapon, being alive. Being alive must mean herding our destiny. Between ebbs and flows, before the people remain in the dark, rediscover our own homeland, feel it, revive it, make it; remake it, rearrange it, restructure it, piercing the darkness until life and hope flourish. Subvert an old order. With the whole world as a witness, to build a new order in search of a new humanity.

America reading

Difficult to pretend a reading of America or the world. In the midst of the long litany of cosmic human pain, in this hour of planetary warfare, in this uncertain hour of men, between the universal wound of the world, at this supreme crossroads of history and leadership, while everyone wants to enlarge their image, When the moon exchanged its position with death, between us, it was moderately impossible to distinguish the course, the rhythm, the turn, the air that we lack, the necessary to read on the high seas, to study and cultivate, while we wait, entrenched in light , to the enemy, which buttresses of justice and hope.

Hopefully we read America in time, which would be like reading our first hieroglyphs, amid so much world maelstrom. I wish a National-Continental Crusade would meet such overwhelming bewilderment, audiovisual, transnational confusion, capable of responding to the psychosocial, especially socio-geopolitical, foundations of the phenomenon of reading, where while studying and considering the nature of it as a process of human evolutionary enrichment, it is understood as a real possibility of understanding our tragic dependence and as a valid alternative for the formation of the Necessary Continental National Project.

While at the sea gates of our Continent, above our homelands, near the shoulders of this America, without anyone knowing about that man, that feat, the invader stands proud, with his last screams of domination and violence, as Our organic and subterranean vital unity must never take hold in our Language, in our ideas, our statements, our principles, songs, mines, crops, solitudes, barns, horizons, darkness, clarity, wounds, signs, signs, to resume the discourse of our Continental Liberation through an authentic selective, analytical, evaluative, national-continental-scientific reading, convinced that our best defense is the knowledge of our own language, our own texts, which is like saying our own dreams, creations, late nights , vigils or hopes.

Like any deep and genuine revolution, that of Latin America cannot but be destined to account for and solve the specific problems of its reality, at the moment and in the concrete context in which it takes place. What Mariátegui, supported by a long-term historical perspective and the creative fecundity of the masses in the history movement, calls Indo-American socialism: "We openly profess the concept that we have to create Indo-American socialism, that Nothing is as absurd as literally copying European formulas, that our praxis must correspond to the reality in front of us ... We certainly do not want socialism to be in America neither tracing nor copying. It must be heroic creation. We have to give life, with our own reality, in our own language, to Indo-American socialism. This is a mission worthy of a new generation. "
